First year band meets on Thursday after school 3-3:45pm. This group is for beginners who just started their instrument. The first year band will perform at the ASB spring concert and may march in the St.Patrick's Day parade. Work on the Embouchure and wind control is a focus during the first trimester. Reading music by note is another skill we work on during the year. Learning how to practice and develop a routine is also discussed and worked on.

Concert band meets Tuesday 3-3:45pm in the music room. This band is our advanced band. This group performs at the ASB Christmas show, St. Patrick's Day Parade, ASB spring show and possible field trips around town. We work on second level material and most students take private lessons. This group is also on call for any occation the school may need.

ASB Jazz band is made up of Concert band members and students that have experience in Piano, Guitar and Bass. Rehearsals are after Concert band rehearsals - usually 3:45-4:30pm. You must audition for Jazz band. Jazz band performs at the ASB Christmas show, Spring show, Parish fish fry, along with performances around town.

ASB Wind Ensemble meets Thursday mornings before school, 8-8:30am. This group is made up of wind instruments and performs at various school activities including school Mass. Wind Ensemble plays chamber and classical music and may be asked to play at the school auction and at parent gatherings. Placement in the Wind Ensemble is by band director's invitation.
